Most people hate one obvious thing in WoW – long travels. Yes, the flightpaths do help, but unless you are a mage who can make portals/teleport, it becomes a hard job to quickly travel around the WoW continents. To counter that and to make a traveler’s life easier, I’m presenting you the ultimate teleporting guide!

The trick here is to collect as many teleporting items as you can. The more you have, the more places you may teleport to. Here comes the list:

1. Ruby Slippers
This item can teleport you to your Hearthstone’s location. However, it’s useless because it shares a cooldown with your Hearthstone, plus you have to wear them to use them!

2. Direbrew’s Remote
Well, this is a neat item. It has 1 hour cooldown, and creats a Mole Machine, which you can use to teleport yourself and whole party to Blackrock Depths. However, getting this item is a little tricky. It drops from Coren Direbrew, which spawns only during Brewfest event (its duration: September 20th – October 5th). If you are lucky enough to get it drop, store it inside your Bank. Every year your life will be much easier when Brewfest event starts.

3. Argent Crusader’s Tabard
This is a very nice item indeed! You wear it in your Tabard slot, and it teleports you to the Argent Tournament Fields. In other words, a free teleportation to Icecrown! It has a 30 minutes cooldown and doesn’t share it with your hearthstone. To get it, you must grind reputation with the crusaders and buy it for 50 Champion’s Seals.

4. Runed Band of the Kirin Tor and the other bands of the Kirin Tor.
These rings teleport you to Dalaran, has 30minutes cooldown, and does not share a cooldown with your Heartstone. This means that you can put your Hearthstone destination somewhere else. The drawback is that these rings are quite expensive.

5. Wormhole Generator: Northrend
This is an Engineer-only item which enables you to teleport to any of the Northrend zones, except Dragonblight and Crystalsong Forest. The cooldown is 4 hours, however this item basically lets you travel all over Northrend.

6. Ultrasafe Transporter: Toshley’s Station
Another Engineer-only item, and this one lets you port to Toshley’s Station, again,  every 4 hours. A free teleport to Outland!

7. Ultrasafe Transporter: Gadgetzan
Basically, it’s the same as the one before, however this one teleports you to Gadgetzan.

8. Frostwolf Insignia rank 1-6 and Stormpike Insignia rank 1-6
These items (horde or alliance) let you to teleport to your base while in Alterac Valley. It is advised to keep them in your inventory, and equip them only when you need to teleport.

9. Hearthstone
This is a very rare, unknown and legendary item. It is very hard to obtain and enables you to port to every zone in Azeroth and Outland. However it is so rare, that you should forget about it! Srsly!

10. Jaina’s Locket
This item creates a portal for you and your party to Dalaran. The item is obtainable by completing Jaina’s Locket quest, which is obtained only when Lich King is being killed with Shadowmourne. In other words, most of us should stop dreaming about it

11. Dimensional Ripper – Area 52
Same as the other Engineering Items, this one can teleport you to Area 52.

12. Dimensional Ripper – Everlook
Another Engineering Item, teleports to Everlook.

Quest Teleportation Items (you can use them only when doing these quests)

13. Darnarian’s Scroll of Teleportation
This item enables you to port from the Isle of Quel’danas to Shattrath, and is obtained from the daily quest Know Your Ley Lines

14. Socrethar’s Teleportation Stone
This item enables you to teleport to Socrethar’s Seat, and is used for the quest Turning Point.

15. Surge Needle Teleporter
You can use it to teleport from Moonrest Gardens to the Surge Needle, and otherwise back. It is provided by the quest Projections And Plans

16. Blessed Medallion of Karabor
This item has a low 15minutes cooldown and teleports you to Shadowmoon Valley. It is obtained by following the questline which finishes in killing Illidan.

17. Atiesh, Greatstaff of the Guardian.
This item is very rare, and I give 99% that you won’t obtain it. But if you do, it teleports you to the entrance of Karazhan.

While most of these items are outdated (from old zones), you may never know when you’ll need them, so it’s always best to keep them in your stash. And remember, items that enable you to teleport MAY be usable when Cataclysm hits, and may become a real helper when we will be back to the Vanilla WoW zones!
